Yuna joined IBP as Country Manager for Indonesia in February 2019, coming from the Office of the President of Indonesia where he served under the Special Presidential Staff as Budget Specialist. Between 2008 and 2013, Yuna was the Secretary General of the Indonesia Forum for Budget Transparency (FITRA), where he provided strategic leadership and direction to the consortium of civil society organizations’ engagements in budget processes. Under his leadership, FITRA started making budget analysis an integral part of more sector specific advocacy work (e.g., HIV-AIDS, MDGs, health, poverty, education, and the like), and established a budget resource center to support civil society and other community groups undertake stronger budget analysis for advocacy. After his stint at FITRA, Yuna started his PhD at the University of Sydney, which he successfully completed in 2018.
