Djibril Badiane joined IBP as a Program Officer in 2020 and brings many years’ experience as a communication, engagement and mobilization specialist. Djibril has worked on several projects sponsored by the USAID, UNDC, Hewlett Foundation, Development Gateway, OSIWA and Oxfam. His work has focused in the fields of good governance and transparency, child protection, gender, public financial management, education, health and sanitation. Before joining IBP as a Program Officer, he worked as a consultant in Organizational and Technical Support for IBP Senegal in the SPARK project.
Most recently, Djibril was the Head of Communications and Advocacy at the Senegalese NGO ONG 3D, which focused on democracy, human rights and sustainable development. After three years operating in a local NGO, he decided to join an international organization.
Djibril was a military officer in the Senegalese’s National Gendarmerie also launched his own clothing brand, DSTB Design in 2014. Djibril holds a Master’s degree in Communications from Supdeco Dakar Business School and is a Mandela Washington Fellow (2017 cohort in Public Management Track) at Arizona State University. He is motivated by public policies, advocacy and technology.
