This report consists of a presentation prepared by Oxfam International to the external review of Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers (PRSPs) being carried out by the Independent Evaluation Office of the International Monetary Fund and the Operations Evaluation Department of the World Bank. The paper summarizes the experience of Oxfam and partners working on PRSP in over 30 countries. It covers participation, trade, macroeconomics, gender, Poverty and Social Impact Assessments (PSIA), and education. Each section contains detailed recommendations on how to improve PRSP in the second round.
